Hi there,

I am trying to spin up an vm with an image MicrosoftWindowsServer:WindowsServer:Windows-Server-Technical-Preview.

It is giving me

error: The platform image 'MicrosoftWindowsServer:WindowsServer:Windows-Server-Technical-Preview:latest' is not available. Verify that all fields in the storage profile are correct.

When I am checking the image explicitly I get:

➜ azure vm image show -l 'West US' -p 'MicrosoftWindowsServer' -o WindowsServer Windows-Server-Technical-Preview
info: Executing command vm image show
Version:
data: Publisher Offer Sku OS Version Location Urn
data: ---------------------- ------------- -------------------------------- ---- --------- --------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
data: MicrosoftWindowsServer WindowsServer Windows-Server-Technical-Preview null undefined undefined MicrosoftWindowsServer:WindowsServer:Windows-Server-Technical-Preview:undefined
info: vm image show command OK

So it tells me an image is there, but version is undefined o0.

Could anyone help me please?

Thanks,

Evgeny

Hi Evgeny,

Windows-Server-Technical-Preview is no longer available. Please use 2016-Datacenter instead.

Cheers,

Fred

Thanks Fred,

Do you know if that image has container support?

You'll need to use 2016-Datacenter-with-Containers for Windows Server 2016 with Container support.
