Dear all,

IS there any possibility to scale Compute Units for Database for mysql without downtime on our platforms? Last time i scaled the compute-units, the service was down for more than 3 hours, and we would like to not have this happen again.

Best,

Jonas

Hi Jonas,

We support scaling compute units within a service tier. This should happen in seconds. It is not normal to have it take hours. Please open a support incident in this case so we can get to the bottom of the issue.

Thanks

Sunil

Dear Sunil,

Thank you for the answer.

I will open a support case.

I've managed to scale another instance yesterday with no downtime at all (4 databases)

But the other instance i have with +300 databases, took approximately 3 hours, 42 minutes a month ago, to scale.

Sadly i'm not allowed to create a support incident for this service. But can mention that it is the same now as a month ago. Started the scale 1 hour ago; still scaling and not accepting connections. Perhaps Microsoft should update their informations on the website.
