Question

I am getting the following error while taking the back up of my SQLServer database using Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.Smo.Backup:

SqlError:4035 Processed 1576 pages for database 'DBFileName', file 'DBFileName' on file 1.

And it shows the PercentComplete as 100% after this error in the log.

I am able to restore using the backup file created in the previous step, hence I want to know if, Is this a message or is there anything seriously wrong where I should consider this error?

Hello,

Either the backup file or the database is corrupt. Use DBCC CHECKDB (Transact-SQL) to check the database and RESTORE VERIFYONLY (Transact-SQL) to check the backup file.

Thanks Olaf Helper.

Following are the results:

DBCC CHECKDB

CHECKDB found 0 allocation errors and 0 consistency errors in database 'xxx'.
DBCC execution completed. If DBCC printed error messages, contact your system administrator.

And RESTORE VERIFYONLY

The backup set on file 1 is valid.

So, can I ignore the error?

SqlError:4035 Processed 1576 pages for database 'DBFileName', file 'DBFileName' on file 1.

Do you really get this as an error message from SMO? Because this is a common InfoMessage text.
