The deployment still happens after 1 hour. The resource group in the dashboard becomes "Unable to get deployment status" with a red exclaimation mark. vmExtensionLinkedTemplate and microsoft azure blockchain service would stay in deploying phase (the rest succeeds). From the resource group events, the portal indicates that there are two failed deployments, which are both write deployments with the message "The resource operation completed with terminal provisioning state 'Failed', and 5 errors, which are ValidateCreateRequests with the message "{"validationErrors":[{"errorSource":"$.properties.computeProfile.roles[0].hardwareProfile.vmSize","code":"FieldCannotBeNullOrEmpty","message":"'vmSize' cannot be null or empty"},{"errorSource":"$.properties.computeProfile.roles[1].dataDisksGroups[0]","code":"DataDisksGroupInvalidDisksPerNode","message":"'disksPerNode' must be between 1 and 64"}]} and Write Deployments.

Could you share the link to the specific template that you tried to download?  The error message does not seem to match to one of the blockchain templates we support.
