I am running a new installation of SQL Server 2012 on Windows Server 2012. I am developing a .Net application. It runs OK on the server itself with the firewall running. However, I get the timeout error when trying to run the application on a LAN host.
I have checked the firewall settings and can see nothing wrong. In the SQL Server Network Configuration:
Windows Firewall opened TCP/1433
Any local IP address
Any remote IP address
Profile - Private
SQL Server Configuration Manager
SQL Server Network Configuration
Protocols for MSSQLSERVER
Shared Memory Enabled
Named Pipes Enabled
Active - Yes
Enabled - Yes
IP Address - 192.168.2.5 (localhost)
TCP Dynamic Ports -
TCP Port - 1433
The LAN host trying to connect and getting the error is a Windows 7 PC. The application is written using .Net 4.5.
I would appreciate any help or suggestions, thanks
