From Mark Paluch (@mp911de) via Twitter who tweets:

“Any chance for me to try out Redis Cache/Cluster+SSL?”

Customer also referenced the github article https://github.com/mp911de/lettuce/issues/246 which goes into more detail on the request. To summarize; is it possible to use Redis Cache with a Cluster and SSL?

Mark has also commented on the post with the following “SSL + Cluster is a special case. Redis Cluster nodes are reported by Redis with their Redis host address. Since Redis has no built-in SSL support it only knows about the Redis plaintext ports and so it does not report any SSL ports. Giving lettuce a try on Azure is a great chance to see how the Microsoft guys have implemented it.”

Appreciate if you may be able to advise or assist on this matter.

Thanks,

Fyi: I'm tracing this issue as I'm developing the lettuce Java Redis driver

Please send us mail to AzureCache@microsoft.com and we will temporarily give you access to a clustered cache.

In general, once you connect on 6380, you will get a cluster list of nodes whose addresses include the ssl ports, each node will be reported with the same ip address and a different port.
