Hi

Can you perhaps post the full error message please to assist you further?

Can you confirm if the account you running this setup with is an administrator on the server?

Hi subrata,

Based on your description, could you please post the summary and detail logs for further analysis? By default, the logs can be found in: C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\100\Setup Bootstrap\Log.

Usually, the error occurs when the Windows Installer Service is not running or the Windows Installer registry settings are corrupted.  I recommend you perform the following steps to troubleshoot this issue.
1. Make sure that SQL Server setup file is not corrupted. Please download it again if you need.
2. If the setup file is complete, then run services.msc to check if the Windows Installer Service is running. If it is stopped, please start it.
3. If you still fail to install SQL Server after starting the Windows Installer Service, please reset the registry key “HKEY_lOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/services/msiserver”. You can import the msiserver registry key from another working machine. For more details, please review this similar article.

Besides, there is a similar thread about the error for your reference.
