How do I activate a VM Role in Azure for Azure Connect?

MSDN talks about installing a token in 'the config file' with Visual Studio but is very vague. Can such a simple task not be done via the portal? Can someone point me to a walk through if i have to use Visual Studio?

Thanks.

Hi,

Try to use the new virtual machine feature, which offers much more capabilities than VM role. You can install Azure Connect on the virtual machine just like installing it on a local machine. If you have to use VM role,  refer to http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windowsazure/gg697584.aspx for some instructions.

Hope this helps.
