Please read more about DQS and DQS Database...

What is you DQS Database Recovery Model ?

As per my knowledge default recovery model of DQS Database is simple so as per the default type you cant configure Mirroring for DQS Database.

If you have changed the recovery model to FULL if you can, then you can try configuring mirroring and test it in your environment because I never tried mirroring with DQS DB's and no point of having mirroring for this DQS DB as per my business requirment.. Almost this is similar to system database because this below 3 databases created automatically when you configure the DQS Servvice and contains some system stuff too..

    • DQS_MAIN - This database contains all the DQS stored procedures, the DQS engine and published knowledge bases
    • DQS_PROJECTS - Contains the data associated with data quality projects created in the Data Quality Client
    • DQS_STAGING_DATA - As the name implies, this is a staging area where you can both copy data to perform DQS

DQS With Failover Cluster :

Yes SQL 2012 Cumulative Update 1 (CU1) and Later supports but RTM not..
