Hi team

I have been trying my luck with securing the on primse IIS hosted wcf service with ACS. However, i could not find the sample to achieve that. The example at MSDN provide sample for securing WCF when service is self hosted.

My end objective is to secure the WCF Web role with ACS.

Can somebdy help me with this?

Thanks

Hi,

When using ACS, there's not too much difference between self hosting and IIS hosting. One difference is you may need to create a custom service host factory in order to modify the IIS service host. You can refer to http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa395224.aspx for more information.

Hi

I have to agree there is no much difference.

In Visual studio 2010 install the WIF SDK, create a WCF web site, and Add STS reference. WIF will configure the service for you.

In Visual studio 2012 create a WCF web site, right click the project and click Identity and access.

Enter the details in the ACS tab and VS will take care of the rest.

It's not so different. But I can understand the confusion. You can refer link1 and link2 to understand how to achieve the federated authentication using IIS hosted services.

Hope it helps.
