Hello MSDN,

I need your advice for the below.

FYI- We are using TFS 2013 and our projects are .Net 3.5 framework. Here we go; I wanted to build specific solution in the project group.

In the project tab i have added 3 solutions with comma separated. But i wanted to build only one solution

For this I given the below MSBuild Argument, is that right please advice.

Process Tab

MSBuild arguments :"D:\DEV\TeamBuild\src\test\test.sln"

Am able to build all the 3 solutions successfully.(Without argument)

Thanks & Regards,

Gunasekaran V

Hi Gunasekaran,

Thanks for your post.

If you want only build one specific solution in build definition, you should only add one solution to build in build definition.

If you add 3 solutions in one build definition, these 3 solutions will all be built by default, and the arguments which you provided in MSBuild Arguments will be invoked 3 times. (build each solution will invoke the MSBuild Arguments in build definition)

I don’t know if there’s the MSBuild Arguments can ‘skip’ other two solutions when build that 3 solutions during TFS Build. If you want to achieve that by MSBuild arguments, please contact MSBuild experts for the better response.
