I'm trying to locate a SQL Server Database within our infrastructure to try and resolve an issue which we are receiving email notifications/alarms for.
However, all I have to go on is the name of the database and no other information - and the error message from the email notification.
"19/11/18 01:01:20 Error purging database. Reason: [Microsoft][SQLServer 2000 Driver for JDBC][SQLServer]The log file for database 'NAME HERE' is full. Back up the transaction log for the database to free up some log space.. "
Is there any way to trace this Database? We would like to truncate the log files if we can locate the database.

Use MAPS tool and try a discovery of all your database servers.
Once you install Maps tool. Navigate to "Database" and click "Collect inventory data" under "SQL Server Discovery".
Select "SQL Server" and proceed further. You may need a login that can access all your database servers.
Once the discovery is done. You can download a report called "generate SQL Server database Detail Report" from Maps -> Database -> SQL Server Discovery.
