I am working on a Xamarin Android App with visual studio community 2015, after working for a while, I compiled it in release mode to generate .apk, I signed it and installed it on a device. I opened mthe project to continue building and noticed that it did not build. and it still hasn't built. I have restored nugget packages, deleted bin and obj files etc. none seem to work. Here's the error

The "InstallPackageAssemblies" task failed unexpectedly.

after much troubleshooting, I found out that the application wasn't the problem, neither was visual studio. the problem is my phone. I connected two phones to my system and debugged via USB and they worked. can anyone point me to why my phone is behaving this way?

Hi EasyHero,

According to your description, it works on other two phones, but it doesn't work on your phone, it seems that some settings cause the issue, please check the settings between your phone and other two phones. and make them to same and check if it works for you.

In addition, Since your issue is more related to Visual Studio Xamarin Android App, I would suggest that you could post your issue on Xamarin for support.

Thanks for your understanding.
