Does anyone know why this happens when I try to run Azure Backup console? It just sits there at step 2 of 3 saying Loading Policy Information, then times out with an error asking me to try later. This happens repeatedly.

Hi,

First please check if it is caused by network connection issue - Azure Backup needs to contact Azure server so make sure there is no block (like firewall) which affected the connection. You can test to disable firewall for a while to see the result.

And for the 2 error message (Loading Policy Information and "try later") please help collect a screenshot if available

You may not able to upload in thread so you can also upload your pictures to an online storage site (like OneDrive).

did you get anywhere with this? I'm having the same prob, and backup is failing - works again after server reboot, so assume it's a service issue - just need to find out which one!

removing all azure software from add/remove, then re-installing worked for me (except, now the Azure Tab doesn't show up in the Dashboard anymore - no biggie though!) (WSE 2012 r2)

AUG 2017

Azure Backup console repeatedly gets stuck Step 2/3 Loading policy information.

Still trying to get 1st backup pushed up after almost a week, hangs, crashes, and have to start again from beginning.

Upload speed is 4Mb so not a connection issue.

Not providing me with much confidence....
These reliability issues do tend to take 2-4 years to get sorted, so maybe to early yet!?

If you have the agent version older than 2.0.9081.0, download the latest version (2.0.9081.0) of the backup agent from here and check the error status.
