Question

In PowerPoint 2013 I would like to be able to open a text box as a comment when I put the cursor on an image (photo thumbnail)in the slide. So if I had four pics I could make the comment of each person appear in a text box by placing my mouse pointer on each pic in turn. The text box should disappear when the mouse is moved away from the pic.

Hi, Thehatt

if you are working with VBA.

you have mentioned that ,"open a text box as a comment when I put the cursor on an image (photo thumbnail)in the slide." but in vba with powerpoint gotfocus and lost focus events will not work. because in powerpoint you cant make a form. these events will work if you create a form. so here you need to work with onclick event of picture. in that you can set textbox to visible. I also try that. 1st I add 4 pictures in slide then I add 4 textbox in slide. then in code first I set all textbox to visible false then onclick event of picture I visible only 1 textbox related with picture. but here when you try to click on the textbox to insert a comment then it will change the slide. so you have to again come to that page. because generally when presentation is running and you click it will change the slide.
