Values area not creating new columns

Hello. I have dates from a date table Year, Quarter, Month. They are all coming up as different columns--which I guess makes sense, since I created these as calculated columns in the date table. However, when I try to add fields into the values area, it is not adding new columns but rather adding weird rows. So, I'll get a quarter to date, and then add year to date in values and it formats Below each instance in the same row.

Figured it out. Values were using row labels.
