Hi,

Please ensure the network share UNC path , Managed account that has full write permission on the network share folder and also the correct SQL permission.

Please use this powershell command and check the status of the command.

Backup-SPFarm -Directory "\\networksharefolder" -BackupMethod Full –Verbose

Hi

This error can come because the following two kind of timeouts.

  • Query timeout
  • Connection timeout

Hi,

This error could be related to below reasons:

1. The SQL Server isn’t responding in a timely fashion.

2. The SQL Server Performance Issue.

Please check for any performance related issues on the SQL server like Free Disk space available, Memory Utilization, SQL Logs and Application Event Logs.

In addition, make sure if you are able to backup the SharePoint Server Databases directly from the SQL Management studio from the SQL Server. Most of the time these types of errors would be directly related to the SQL Server experiencing performance issues.

Best regards,

Allen Bai
