Question

Vitaly Zdanevich on Sat, 06 Aug 2016 06:43:44

Hi, I successfully use git lfs repository but from last week from the same machine and settings my push stuck. I tried verbose output and see only:

Pushing to ssh://zdanevich@zdanevich.visualstudio.com:22/DefaultCollection/_git/svp

and zero traffic. My commit consist only with one ogg file that size 345 mb.

I am under Linux, git version 2.8.1

Thank you, I read this topic before creating this - our difference is that I do not see any internet activity during push - only few kb in first second of handshake. This is my trace:

Thank you for your link but this is not my case - I not have much commits, but my last a little bit more than 300 mb. Any other suggestions?

FIXED: VSTS does not support git lfs over ssh, so you need to change remote url.

To find out current url:

git remote -v

To replace from ssh to https:

git remote set-url <url>

Take url from screen about cloning your repository.

If you will be facing with problem that git can not correctly take your password - solution is to enable password caching for git:

git config --global credential.helper cache
