Hi everyone,

i attended a webinar and the speaker mentioned that no future to infopath forms and any future development shouldn't depend on info path.

Anyone can explain to me is that true? if so, what are the alternatives ? i would prefer if there are official links about this topic.

Thanks in advance

InfoPath has been deprecated and support for it will stop in 2023.  That provides time to start migrating away from it.  So I wouldn't advise beginning new development using InfoPath today.  For an official roadmap here is a link to some Microsoft official presentations at last fall's Ignite conference.  They discuss how PowerApps and Flow are a replacement for building business applications that used to be built in InfoPath.

And here's a good blog post on whether you should replace InfoPath with PowerApps.  Its not from Microsoft, but is a good discussion of the issues.

Samy, While Microsoft is steering InfoPath users to its PowerApps + Flow products, these aren't really true replacements for InfoPath.

If you are planning to continue to use existing InfoPath forms, but want them to run on Win10 as a modern app, or iOS or Android i would recommend checking out Formotus.

https://www.formotus.com/infopath-compatible

Formotus can automatically convert your existing InfoPath forms to run on these new OSs, as well as providing their own drag and drop tool that is MUCH closer at feature parity with InfoPath than PowerApps Additionally it has features for pictures/signatures/location/barcode scanning, etc. as well as support to connect directly not just with SharePoint but also Google Doc/Sheets and SalesForce.
