I've scanned pages of other Q&A and find no direct answer NOT about the Outlook client--
I have many inbound emails that are regarding non-contact records. I have many that regard contact records. However, I have just as many that have no regarding set (null.)
As a rule, all personal settings are set to "Track emails from CRM leads, contacts and accounts."
- NO OUTLOOK CLIENT INVOLVED
- appears the matching only resolves on the Subject field
- can the matching be set to compare email addresses as well on the email router?
- can this only be accomplished by a plugin?
