I created a program for me and my friends to use but when I publish it and try to run the setup file I get an error message saying: "Your administrator has blocked this application because it potentially poses a security risk to your computer." I can't find out how to fix it. I am the administrator. All help would be appreciated.

Hello,

How to fix it? That is not a coding question. You will need to change your policy filters to allow this program to run. How that is done is dependent on where the filter is set.

For instance on a work computer typically the security team will have setup filters while on a personal machine a anti-virus software e.g. Norton Security you can go into settings and remove the filter for a file, files or folders.

That may be it, but I can't find any good websites, including that one, which actually explains how to do it well.

It's nothing to do with my anti-virus, I have checked that already.

Well somebody must've set the system up to disallow it unless that is default which I doubt. Does setup prompt it to run as admin? If not right click on setup and try running it as Admin perhaps.

Tired running as admin, still didn't work.

Well the issue is system administrative really so you should find a forum that can assist you with that. Technet has a Windows 10 support Forum but you don't mention the OS you use I don't believe.
