Do you know if it's possible to update the Connection Info of an asset after we register it? I assume this would be accomplished via the API. Unfortunately where my client is in their lifecycle is that I am building out ADC assets using the Dev environment. Ideally we'll dump the data and table structures into Production and this Data Catalog will need minimal updating. Just a few minor updates like changing the Server Name of a table to devhivecluster.azurehdinsight.net to the Production version.

Following up to close the loop on this post, after an offline conversation when the question was originally raised.
Data Catalog now includes the ability to edit the connection information (data source location) for registered data assets.

THe edit option is available for all users of the data catalogue or only for Admin users ?
When i tested this i could see that only admin can edit. Is there any way to share this possibility to the user who registered the asset.

(copying my response from the other thread, to make it available for folks who discover the question here as well)
This capability is restricted to catalog administrators and the owners of the assets. (More on ownership and management here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/data-catalog/data-catalog-how-to-manage)
Since editing the connection information is a potentially scenario-breaking change (if you misspell the server name, anyone who discovers the asset will not be able to open it) we wanted to ensure that this wasn't a trivial change to make.
