Question

I have a Bing Map control where I'm adding a set of pins (locations).

The thing is, I want to show which of those pins is closer to the current location. I know there are tons of implementation of the algorithm out there, I just want to know if the WinJS framework or WinRT has some sort of out of the box function I could use, before I start coding it myself.

Regards,

Sebastián

I think that the new Spatial Data Services might help you:

Example here -> http://www.bingmapsportal.com/ISDK/AjaxV7#SpatialDataServices1

Nop, I don't see any help with what I want... having that said, I don't want to call an external service in order to find that out if I can solve it locally with javascript. I was wondering if the WinJS framework or the Bing maps control for Win8 had something like that for me to use.

My GIS friends tell me that the "what point is closest to me" problem is significantly more difficult that it initially appears.  I am not aware of any javascript libraries that will help you solve this problem locally.
