Question

I have had multiple app certification errors under the 3.2 requirement.

Notes from Testers:

The app crashed during our review. If we were able to capture a crash report, we have provided it to you. Please see: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=279806 for information on how to work with the crash reports.

In the .zip file, there was no errorinfo file or any file that gave me any information on where the issue was. I had an AppXManifest.xml, EventLog.xml, Report.wer, and WER4377.tmp.WERInternalMetadata.xml files. None of these showed me any information on where the problem was. Can anybody make some sense out of these files? There was also a .pdf which showed an image of my app and had a button with a red square indicating the source of the crash I assume. I don't experience any errors when I run the app in Visual Studio or any error messages.

Hi J,

The zip file should include a .DMP file that you can open and analyze with WinDbg or similar tool.

If it does not, contact the app submission folks through your developer support portal for help getting a crash dump.
