Hello,

How can I migrate Sharepoint 2010 with RBS to SharePoint 2013 with RBS? Is it a regular migration process? OR Is there anything else that I need to worry about?

Thank You

Hi,

You can migrate content in the database into RBS after installing RBS.

$rbs=(Get-SPContentDatabase <database>).RemoteBlobStorageSettings

$rbs.GetProviderNames()

$rbs.SetActiveProviderName("")

$rbs.Migrate()

How to migrate content into or out of RBS

You can refer to the answer of SpGurlz in the thread below for more information:

Another method, check the steps provided by Richard Van Rooyen in the following thread, back up the site collections in SharePoint 2010 and restoring those sites to a new content database.

https://collab365.community/forum/topics/sharepoint-2010-to-2013-upgrade-migration-with-rbs/page/2/

Note: Backup the farm before any changes.

Best regards,

Linda
