What is the risk of sending fingerprint data from .net application on iis server to AzureDB? can you help me with any recommendation? thanks

You can consider to use the Azure Active Directory for secure your ASP.NET application and Azure SQL DB. On Azure SQL level you have the option of protecting the column and access to you by creating the RBAC , Always Encrypt option and Dynamic Data Masking.
On application, ASP.NET Application can be registered with Azure AD, So only the register/integrate the application can be used to access the Azure SQL DB. you can also option to have Multi factor authentication
On Network level you can restrict to access only to specific range of IP address.

Data to and from Azure SQL server is always encrypted using TLS. You can read more about it here
However for sensitive data like the one in your use case, I would recommend using SQL Always Encrypted. This takes care of securing your data during transit and at rest.
