Hello imughal,

What pricing models are you trying to switch?

I am not aware of any other configuration required with the SQL Product Key.

I will confirm this internally and keep you posted.

i want to change from SQL Server - pay-as-you-go -->  bring your own license (BYOL) model.

Just want to know are there any further action which i have to carry except given in  link. Pls confirm.

I checked this internally.

There is no need to provide the product key after you change the licensing model.

It would be required only in case of an audit.

Please follow the instructions in the document you referenced and you should be good to go.

Do let us know if you have any further questions.

This is from an internal communication:

"SQL AHB usage is currently trust based. We do not ask for a key from user when they convert to AHB. But they have to register with SQL VM RP before they do that. This allows us to ask customer to refurbish a valid license (Software assurance is a requirement as well) if audited."
