Question

Hi,

I created a thread a while ago (https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/vstudio/en-US/5e9efbba-8c75-4918-b71b-4f80649f689c/web-performance-test-playback-can-i-embed-subsequent-urlsrequests-within-a-single-url-so-that-the?forum=vstest) where I can add a dependent request to a parent url, which then runs asynchronously within.

My load test results however record other individual urls as pages which I would like to embed with the same parent url, however I would not like these tests to run asynchronously.

The purpose of this is to enable the load test results to display the parent page(s) only (just to note my tsts were created in Fiddler and added to VS to run the tests.

Many thanks

Hi Sooben,

Based on my understanding, you embedded individual requests and some dependent requests to a parent page to make load test result only display the parent pages, but the load test result still displayed those individual urls a pages. This behavior is default because those individual urls are real pages when running and dependent requests are images, CSS, and JavaScript not real pages.

If you don’t want other individual urls to be identified as pages, please try not running dependent requests through setting Parse Dependent Links property to false or delete these urls from your web test.

Thanks,
